The kingdom is near

One young man from Uttar Pradesh who had a habit of drinking alcohol, had an accident with a motor cycle. He was in pain and sitting on his bed. On preaching the word to him, he responded that he wanted to change how he was living. So he was led in a prayer of repentance and faith in the Lord. After which hands were laid on him for healing and deliverance. He started shaking under the power of God for a few seconds. God removed the pain supernaturally. He stood up to show that the pain was gone. The following Sunday he began attending the worship meetings. :)

A relative of my wife who is a member of a church in Worli and retired was sharing that he feels bored and does not know what to do with his time. To which I had the opportunity to exhort to redeem the time seeing the days are evil - to get involved sharing Jesus and the truth with friends and colleagues. He has the intention but did not make a firm decision and put action to it. He also said, "One has to have good character to be a preacher." Then I had to teach him about the two ways of flesh and spirit. I felt the anointing of the Holy Spirit which means God wanted him to get it. This word is going to work in his heart and change him only if he mixes what he heard with faith and puts action to it, to the glory of God.

Healing from cancer

A married young woman who was diagnosed with cancer, on seeing the banner of the church came crying about her condition. She was a believer who got married to an unbeliever, due to which attendance to the word and fellowhip got left behind. But after she got sick, her faith burning low, was stoked again. By her faith in the Lord, she got restored to health and is now attending to worship and the word. Sometimes people wait for circumstances to turn to God. He is patiently waiting for you too.

Preaching the gospel

Pastor is preaching the word to a Maharashtrian man, whose understanding has been darkened and now the light of the gospel is shining. May the Lord open his mind and change his heart to the glory of His name. Every week, this man gets to hear the word of God along with his wife. His daughters claim to already have faith in Jesus. This being due to the word being sown in their heart previously. So may they also grow in their knowledge of the Lord.

On the way to visit the members, Pastor got an opportunity to preach the gospel to an elderly man in the neighborhood. He is sick with blood pressure issue and paralysis. He is hindered by his son who resists conversion from Hinduism to Christianity. How sad that this man is turning away from the free offer of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ. :(

God has given us an opportunity to minister to a family from Uttar Pradesh. The woman had brain tumor and was operated twice. Because of this she could not walk and also lost her eye-sight. We prayed for God to reveal himself to them and slowly but surely, the healing began. She began getting strength in her hands and a feeling inside to get up and walk. She began responding to this and is now able to walk. We believe God is able to also restore her eye-sight. Her daughter, daughter-in-law and now even her son believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

Communion Sunday

Being the first Sunday of the month, our house church partakes of the body and blood of the Lord. Pastor was enabled to teach from 1 Corinthians 11:23 onwards, on the steps to become ready to partake worthily. Paul the apostle said, "Let a man examine himself" and so we looked into that procedure. The Scriptures which contain the revealed mind of God is our gauge to examine ourselves. There are three questions that we have to ask ourselves, they are:

  1. Do I believe with all my heart that Jesus is the son of God and my savior?
  2. Have I repented of any known sin, have I confessed it and forsaken it?
  3. Am I in obedience or disobedience to the commands of the Lord?

If there is any issue then we need to repent which involves turning away from those things that are displeasing to God and not just acknowledgment and confession of sin.

The attendance was encouraging. Some were not able to attend. We commit all to God.
