The grand-children of members are showing up at the house church. Thank God for this new change and growth. We were encouraging the members to bring their children along to the Sunday meeting. We teach the children action songs and use the bible for kids app to teach them a truth from the bible.

Visit to Secunderabad

Pastor was invited to Secunderabad by a pastor friend. By the help of the Lord the local pastor has collected some people for Jesus. People in Secunderabad speak mainly Telugu, so it was difficult to communicate with people there. Since Pastor does not know Telugu, He had to speak in Hindi. This was translated by the local Pastor into Telugu.

One of the members, had me stay in his house. He was so hospitable. God bless him abundantly.

Pastor had opportunity from the first day to preach and teach the word to small groups of people. The local pastor also had me visit his parents home 65 K.m. away from where we were staying. It was inside one of the villages in Medak District. We had to sleep outside where there were so many mosquitoes. God brought us through the night.

Messages taught was  on the new covenant, faith, and the church.

A relative of my wife who is a member of a church in Worli and retired was sharing that he feels bored and does not know what to do with his time. To which I had the opportunity to exhort to redeem the time seeing the days are evil - to get involved sharing Jesus and the truth with friends and colleagues. He has the intention but did not make a firm decision and put action to it. He also said, "One has to have good character to be a preacher." Then I had to teach him about the two ways of flesh and spirit. I felt the anointing of the Holy Spirit which means God wanted him to get it. This word is going to work in his heart and change him only if he mixes what he heard with faith and puts action to it, to the glory of God.

Communion Sunday

Being the first Sunday of the month, our house church partakes of the body and blood of the Lord. Pastor was enabled to teach from 1 Corinthians 11:23 onwards, on the steps to become ready to partake worthily. Paul the apostle said, "Let a man examine himself" and so we looked into that procedure. The Scriptures which contain the revealed mind of God is our gauge to examine ourselves. There are three questions that we have to ask ourselves, they are:

  1. Do I believe with all my heart that Jesus is the son of God and my savior?
  2. Have I repented of any known sin, have I confessed it and forsaken it?
  3. Am I in obedience or disobedience to the commands of the Lord?

If there is any issue then we need to repent which involves turning away from those things that are displeasing to God and not just acknowledgment and confession of sin.

The attendance was encouraging. Some were not able to attend. We commit all to God.
